Hooked on Books

Back to Booklist

This show has maintained its effectiveness and popularity over the past 25 years. With technology increasing and children reading less, we hope that sharing our passion for books in an exciting theatrical manner gets more noses into books.

This production consists of a
Junior Primary show (Gr1 -Gr3) | 5 books and a poetry book
Senior Primary show (Gr4 – Gr7) | 5 books and a poetry book
And then an option for smaller schools.
Bumper show (Gr1- Gr7) | Mix of titles for both ages.
These shows run at approximately 50 minutes.

By employing three professional actors, the books chosen are brought to life with singing, acting, dancing, well rounded characters, humour and clever audience participation. Pupils have fun getting involved with the stories and we often find many Oscar-winning-worthy performances. This leads to young pupils discovering a love for drama as well. Books are read, imaginations ignited and long queues to the library begin!
