After numerous requests, we are proud to present our second Language Afrikaans production for English schools. The aim of this show is to expose children to the Afrikaans language by bringing books and vocabulary to life in a fun visual way.
Here we offer a Junior Primary and Senior Primary show. Books are selected for the appropriate reading levels per show. The Lus Vir Lees Bumper show is a mix of 4 Junior and Senior Primary books as well as a poetry book. This is aimed at smaller schools from Gr 1 – Gr 7.
By employing tools such as repetition, participation and humour the learners will leave with a fundamental understanding of the language and stories. Learners are introduced to new vocabulary and ultimately charmed by the beauty of the Afrikaans language, our shows and the chosen books.
The titles have been carefully chosen at a reading level appropriate for second-language learners but this doesn’t mean they won’t be stretched. Confident Afrikaans readers will certainly not be left bored.
